In the aftermath, unable to carry on with her job, Rukia allows Ichigo to take on a shinigami role in her place as they defeat the Hollows plaguing Ichigo’s city. During this encounter, she transfers her shinigami powers to Ichigo with Rukia unable to defeat the hollow one. A fateful day comes as Ichigo meets the shinigami Kuchiki Rukia, who saves him and his family from a Hollow at the expense of hurting herself. He has always had the ability to see the ghosts and spirits from as far as he can remember. Kurosaki Ichigo, 15, isn’t your daily high school student.
